1. Introduction
Welcome to The Cotswold Pasty Company. By placing an order online or booking an event with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. They are legally binding under English law and are designed to protect both you and our business.
Please read carefully before making an order or booking. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.
2. Online Sales
2.1 Products

We currently sell freshly made pasties online. Future products may include merchandise or gift vouchers.

All products are made to order and dispatched once a month, usually on the 3rd Thursday.
2.2 Delivery
-
Products are shipped via Royal Mail or courier, depending on cost.

We deliver wherever Royal Mail’s next-day service is available, excluding certain remote areas (e.g., Scottish Highlands, Shetland Isles).

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

2.3 Perishable Goods & Refunds
-
As perishable goods, online pasties cannot be returned once made or dispatched.

We comply with UK consumer law exemptions for perishable goods.

Refunds for online orders will only be issued in the event of an error on our part (e.g., incorrect product, damaged during delivery).
2.4 Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of order.

Accepted methods: bank transfer (preferred), card, PayPal (if agreed).

Late payments may incur interest and fees under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

3. Event & Wedding Bookings
3.1 Booking & Deposit
-
A 25% deposit is required to secure a date.

Deposits are refundable only if cancellation is made 120+ days before the event.
-
Final balance is due 30 days before the event.
3.2 Cancellation & Refunds
-
Cancellation by the client:
-
120+ days: full refund of deposit
-
90–119 days: 50% refund of deposit

60–89 days: 25% refund of deposit
-
0–59 days: no refund

Cancellation by us (extreme circumstances): See Force Majeure.
3.3 Minimum & Maximum
-
Minimum booking value: £450.
-
Maximum guest numbers are agreed per event.
3.4 Travel & Venue Access
-
Travel within 15 miles of Chedworth included. Over 15 miles: £2 per mile (return included).

Clients are responsible for ensuring all venue permissions (parking, power, access).
-
Pasty Wagon requires sufficient space for a large car and horsebox, and access to power.
-
Buffet tables require trolley access and the use of electricity.

4. Payments & Price Changes
-
Payments accepted by bank transfer, card, or PayPal.
-
Late payments incur interest per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act after 7 days.
-
Prices may change due to ingredient costs, fuel, electricity, VAT, or other unavoidable costs; changes apply only to new orders.
5. Force Majeure
-
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, staff illness, vehicle breakdown, government restrictions, or supply chain issues.

In such circumstances, we may postpone or cancel events.

We will use all reasonable efforts to mitigate disruption (e.g., outside staff, towing vehicles, rescheduling).

Refunds will be considered based on circumstances but may be partial depending on costs already incurred.
6. General Operations

Insurance: Public liability insurance cover of £2,000,000.

Food Hygiene: Fully compliant with EHO inspections and food safety regulations.

Allergens: While we use some vegan and gluten-free ingredients, we are not an allergen-free kitchen. We regularly handle all major allergens.

Leftovers: We leave any leftover food on site at the customer’s risk. Proper storage is the customer’s responsibility; we are not liable for any illness or spoilage after delivery.
7. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, menu descriptions and images are the property of The Cotswold Pasty Company and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.

Guests are welcome to share images of our pasties and Pasty Wagon on social media, with credit to @CotswoldPastyCo encouraged but not mandatory.
8. Privacy / Data Protection

Personal data collected via our website (event enquiries, newsletter sign-ups, online orders) is used only for the purposes of fulfilling orders, communicating about events, and sending newsletters if opted in.

Customers may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

We comply with UK data protection law and store personal data only as necessary for delivery and event coordination.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the product or service booked.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

We are not responsible for food mishandling after delivery or consumption of leftover products.
10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
